Most Principals wouldn’t think about it at this time of year, but a night under the stars may be quite rewarding. Principal Bill Cain from Village Elementary School had a unique school fundraising idea incentive for his students. If they could reach their fundraising goal he would spend the night on the schools roof. Well the students ended up reaching their goal, fundraising $15,000, and the school’s roof is where the Principal stayed.
To earn the money the school featured a “Fun Run” which is a fundraising event where the students accept pledges for the physical activity they exert. For instance, they student would collect the pledge amount for every lap around the school’s track or for every mile ran.
