You have two primary fundraising paths with us: direct-sale (in-hand sales) and pre-sale (brochure/order-taker) fundraisers.
Direct-Sale (In-Hand Sales): You order fundraising products up front - things like candy bars, lollipops, scented pencils (“Smencils”), 2-year planners, snacks, and other popular items. Your group then sells these items directly to supporters (door-to-door, at events, through parents, etc.). Profit margins for direct-sale fundraisers typically range between 30-50% (sometimes more), depending on product and pricing.
Pre-Sale / Brochure Fundraisers: If your group prefers not to purchase and store inventory, brochure fundraisers allow supporters to order items via printed catalogs, online store, or both! You collect orders (and money) up front. Once the sale period ends, usually 2–3 weeks, you submit the order forms using the provided prepaid return envelope. We tally the orders, process them, and ship the items directly to either your group or individual supporters, depending on the program.
Brochure fundraisers require no upfront investment. All brochures, order takers, return envelopes, and postage are provided free of charge.
We offer a large variety of fundraising products so you can pick what best resonates with your supporters - whether that’s snacks and candy, scented pencils, gift-catalog items, frozen food, baked goods, or practical goods like planners and gift items.
For younger children (elementary or preschool), non-food items like scented pencils are especially popular and often easier for schools to approve.
For older students or community groups, practical or gift-type items, baked goods, or specialty products may perform better.
Once you choose your method and products, the process is straightforward:
For direct-sale: order your inventory (usually one-case minimum), receive it, and distribute it to those selling for your group. Collect money as items are sold.
For brochure sales: hand out free brochures or share your online store link, take orders and payment up front during the 2–3-week sale period, then return order forms through prepaid mail.
If you run a brochure sale, once orders are returned and processed, WOW! Fundraising ships the items, already pre-packed per seller, for easy distribution.
Then your sellers distribute the products to the supporters. Many fundraisers find this method more manageable than handling unsold inventory.
Funds raised via your sale can be used for various group needs: trips, sports equipment, supplies, uniforms, extracurricular activities, holiday projects, church events, charity causes - essentially whatever your group needs money for.
